What's happening at Ontario Place?
Over the past two years, we have been working closely with the city, the province, the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, and people across Ontario to develop a plan for an oasis of relaxation and recreation located on the West Island of Ontario Place.
Our plan on the West Island includes more waterfront parkland, trails and public space than what exists today – along with a year-round wellness destination that will draw families, friends, students and residents from across Ontario.
Today, the soil on the West Island is contaminated, the parkland and the shore need to be expanded and improved, and too much of the grounds are boarded up.
A Place For Everyone

This plan includes more waterfront parkland, trails and public space than exists today – along with a year-round wellness destination that will draw families from across Ontario.

Our plan for the West Island will create a 12-acre public park with a new beach, gathering spaces and a bigger shoreline—all of which will be free and publicly accessible—so people can actually enjoy the water year-round.
While Therme’s focus is the West Island – representing just over 10% of the Ontario Place site – we’re focused on listening to the community as we continue to shape our plans and build a better Ontario Place for everyone.
